Conservation and Environment

E-mail Print PDF

Every year, Abseil Fiji receives many visitors of all ages and from many different cultures. Many of our guests have little or no knowledge about the forest. For this reason, we have necessarily become their environmental educators.

Today more than ever, environmental education is a social necessity. We at Abseil Fiji strive to help educate a new generation of youth, giving them the right intellectual tools to use the planet’s resources wisely while incorporating man into the broader scheme of things. We endeavor to prevent the consequences of environmental destruction.

The result is creative, informed leaders ready to implement the practice of sustainable development into their communities. As a result, more people are earning living wages by changing their business practices. The farmer-turned-conservationist isn’t the exception in our communities; it’s the norm. It’s all part of a human and social transformation that focuses on ecological preservation as an integral component of a sustainable and equitable society. It’s about respect for all forms of life, human and otherwise.
